Peanut butter protein balls

Protein balls can pack a good punch if well balanced. These are a great way to keep cravings at bay, and get an extra dose of good protein into your day, when on the run.

Contents

Ingredients

  • 45g good quality protein powder
  • 3 tablespoons whole grain oat flour*
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa
  • ½ cup smooth peanut butter
  • 3 tablespoons date or (real) maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 50g 72% dark chocolate (optional)

Method

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl, you’ll need to get in with your hands to bring it together.

Roll into 12 balls, place in the freezer whilst you melt the chocolate (if using).

Melt the chocolate in a small jug over boiling water (avoiding water contact).

Once melted, take the balls from the freezer and using a fork or skewer, lower each ball into the chocolate to dip it half way.

Lay them on a tray and place in the refrigerator until solid.

Don’t be deceived by the small size, these little guys pack a punch. One, or two, should keep you satisfied.
